Concession Stand Volunteers

Hub City Soccer Families,

Spring is finally here, and the soccer season has begun. We will have green grass pretty soon, and the soccer complex will be full of players every day.

One of the services that the club provides at the soccer complex is the two concession stands at the North and South end. Whether the kids are getting ring pops, or Mom and Dad are getting “dinner” because they just came from work to watch games, I am sure everybody has visited one of the concession stands at the soccer complex at some point. These concession stands are also a very important source of revenue for the club as a portion of the sales goes directly to the Aberdeen Parks and Recreation Department, and those funds are used to help offset the cost of upgrades, repairs, and maintenance at the soccer complex. A current upgrade that concession stand revenue is being used for, and that is actually being made this Spring is the installation of an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) at the soccer complex. As many of you know, an AED is used in the event of a cardiac arrest, and is something that can save a person’s life in an emergency. Needless to say, upgrades like this are not cheap, so we need to keep selling hot dogs and nachos so we can pay for it.

Keeping this in mind….we need help. Adult volunteers (kids can sure  help) are needed to staff these concession stands. Shifts are roughly 2 hours in length, and we need help on Monday nights, Tuesday nights, Thursday nights from 5:30pm to 9:00pm……and Saturday from 8:30am to 3:00pm. No experience is needed, just a willingness to help out. If you can take a shift or ten 😊, please follow the below link to the “” website…….

On the website, pick a date that you may be available, look at the available time slots, and just click on “sign up” if you can help out. The system will walk you through the sign-up (it is very simple).

For those of you who have already volunteered, “Thank You” as your help is sincerely appreciated. If you have not signed up for a shift, please consider doing so now as we really need the help. Any questions, please contact the Hub City Soccer office at 225-0088 or .
